S²GO: Sustainable Soap To-Go
SK SUNGAI SIPUT UTARA
About the Project
S²GO, an eco-friendly soap innovation made from used A4 paper and coated with a mixture of glycerin soap, aloe vera gel, butterfly pea flower extract, calamansi juice, and several other natural extracts. This study aims to reduce the wastage of A4 paper in schools while providing a compact and convenient soap that can be easily carried and used when soap facilities are unavailable, particularly in school canteens or during outdoor activities. The product is suitable for students, teachers, and school community members as a practical approach to maintaining personal hygiene. The results demonstrate that S²GO can function effectively as a hand soap while adding value to used materials. This innovation also promotes personal hygiene practices and fosters a recycling culture in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 as its primary focus, while also contributing to SDG 3, SDG 4, and SDG 13 through an innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly approach.
