About the Project
This project develops a cost-effective robotic gripper integrating flexible piezoelectric pressure sensors to address fragility, safety hazards in chemical waste handling, and high costs of existing robotics. The system uses sensors and potentiometers to detect pressure, with a microcontroller precisely controlling servo motors for adaptive grip strength. Tested from 100g to 1000g, the sensor showed a steady capacitance increase, confirming reliability. Key innovations include real-time pressure detection and an automatic stopping mechanism to prevent object damage. This technology benefits waste management facilities and prosthetic developers by offering a durable, accessible solution for precision-critical applications.
