About the Project

QueueWise is an interactive, offline simulation toolkit designed to make task scheduling concepts easier to understand and teach. It simulates a fog–cloud computing environment and allows students to compare four scheduling algorithms: Min-Min, Max-Min, DLJSF, and ARR-FC. Through interactive visualisations, students can observe task queues, resource allocation, and performance differences. The toolkit supports experiential learning through the Predict–Run–Observe–Explain cycle, encouraging active participation and critical thinking. Requiring no programming skills, software installation, or internet connection, QueueWise offers a cost-effective teaching solution with potential for institutional adoption and commercialisation.
