About the Project
The annual Fraser’s Hill Bird Race is a famous event that attracts birdwatchers from all over the world. However, regular tourists and the public often feel left out because they cannot identify the local bird species. To bridge this gap, this project introduces "C.H.I.R.P @ Fraser," a simple educational tool designed for beginners. The project uses reliable data from birdwatching associations to create illustrated flashcards and an easy-to-use database. By turning technical information into clear visuals, this tool helps everyday visitors easily learn about and appreciate local birds. Ultimately, inspiring regular tourists to join the birdwatching culture will boost eco-tourism and support the long-term socioeconomic growth of Fraser’s Hill.
