Understanding the Evaluation Process
Once the submission deadline has passed, your project enters the evaluation phase. Here is what happens.
How Scoring Works
Each project is evaluated by one or more assigned jury members using a structured rubric. A rubric is a scoring framework that breaks down the evaluation into specific criteria — for example: innovation, technical quality, presentation, and impact.
Each criterion has a maximum score. Your total score is the sum of all criteria scores across all jury members, divided by the number of evaluators.
Who Are the Jury Members?
Jury members are subject-matter experts appointed by the competition organiser. They are assigned to evaluate specific teams only. Pentas ensures that jury members do not evaluate teams they have a conflict of interest with (e.g. their own students or institution members).
Can I See My Scores?
Individual jury scores are typically confidential during the evaluation phase. Final results are published by the competition organiser after scores are verified and finalised.
After Evaluation
- Results are published on the competition results page
- Winners are notified via email
- Certificates are generated and made available for download
- Award letters are issued to applicable winners
