About the Project
Every older person deserves to live in a secure and dignified home, a space to cherish family visits, meaningful experiences, and precious memories. However, maintaining a home over the years can be challenging as its physical condition deteriorates with age. Integrating green and sustainable practices offers one way to maintain and improve housing conditions. Recognising this need, this study developed The Green Home Journey: A Practical Guide to Sustainable Housing for Older Persons. The evidence-based guide draws on research conducted among older persons in Malaysia. It raises awareness of green practices while supporting safer and sustainable homes for older persons.
