About the Project

Community-Based Rehabilitation Centres (Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti, PDK) play an important role in supporting the development of children with special needs. However, manual methods of recording and monitoring children's progress can be inefficient, resulting in disorganized records, increased workloads for staff and limited parental access to information about their children's development. To address these challenges, WeCare-PDK was developed as a web-based monitoring system to manage records more systematically. The system provides several key features, including profile management, attendance records, learning activities, development assessments, intervention records and report generation. It supports supervisors, staff and parents through a centralized information platform with access based on their respective roles. By digitizing record-keeping processes, WeCare-PDK aims to improve information management and facilitate the monitoring of children's development. The system also has the potential to be adapted for use in other PDK centres according to their operational needs. Overall, WeCare-PDK offers a practical digital solution to support the management and development monitoring of children with special needs.
