About the Project

ROBOTOUCH is an educational robotic learning tool developed to support Special Educational Needs (SEN) students in understanding STEM concepts through hands-on and interactive learning. The project addresses the challenge of providing accessible, engaging, and practical STEM learning experiences that can accommodate the learning needs of SEN students. ROBOTOUCH incorporates screen-free and tactile programming, allowing students to interact directly with the robot while learning basic programming concepts and developing problem-solving and hands-on skills. Through guided activities and interactive tasks, students are encouraged to participate actively in the learning process and explore STEM concepts in a meaningful and enjoyable way. The implementation of ROBOTOUCH demonstrated positive outcomes in students’ participation, practical engagement, and hands-on learning skills. The interactive nature of the robot provides students with opportunities to learn by doing, while tactile interaction can make STEM activities more approachable and engaging. The project demonstrates the potential of educational robotics as a supportive tool for inclusive STEM education. Overall, ROBOTOUCH can enhance the learning experience of SEN students by combining tactile programming, robotics, and hands-on STEM activities in an interactive learning environment.
