About the Project
The Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint (MHEB) 2026-2035 emphasises the importance of the services, community engagement, teaching and learning, research and innovation of higher education institutions in providing tangible benefit to society. The Faculty of Information Science can assist in achieving these aims by adding value to around 1,000 oral history and oral tradition transcripts created under the Records Management Program. These materials, collected each semester on a range of topics, offer significant historical, cultural, educational, and community knowledge but are primarily used for academic purposes. The Oral History Finding Aid & Community Discovery System (OH-FIND) is a digital archive that makes these materials available and arranged for teaching, research, community involvement, cultural heritage, sharing of knowledge, accessibility, and long-term institutional resources.
