About the Project
Onion Shield is an innovative eye protection device developed to reduce eye irritation and tearing caused by onion gases during food preparation. The product integrates a pair of safety goggles with a lightweight mini DC fan that generates a gentle airflow to divert sulfur-containing onion gases away from the user’s eyes before they can cause discomfort. Powered by a rechargeable battery, the device is portable, reusable, energy-efficient, and simple to operate. It is suitable for home cooks, professional chefs, food vendors, culinary students, and individuals with sensitive eyes. By enhancing comfort and safety during cooking while reducing reliance on disposable protective equipment, Onion Shield offers a practical and affordable solution.
