MARINE SQUAD

About the Project

Marine Squad is an interactive educational game developed using Scratch to raise awareness of marine pollution and promote Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water. Players complete three missions: navigating a maze to close a leaking waste valve, removing harmful carbon dioxide bubbles from the ocean, and replanting damaged coral reefs. Through engaging challenges and visual storytelling, the game helps players understand the causes of ocean pollution, climate-related damage and coral reef destruction. Marine Squad combines digital learning, problem-solving and environmental education to encourage pupils to take responsible action in protecting marine ecosystems. This project demonstrates how game-based learning can make complex environmental issues easier to understand while inspiring young people to become responsible guardians of the ocean.
