LIMBAHKU: AI-Powered Digital Platform for Waste Monetization and Community Income through Circular Economy

About the Project

LIMBAHKU is an AI-powered digital platform designed to turn household and small-business waste into community income through circular economy principles. It addresses a core problem that keeps people from processing waste on their own: not knowing which waste holds market value, how to turn it into usable products, or where to sell the results. Through seven integrated steps from photographing waste, AI identifying its type and suggesting product ideas, to the system providing production tutorials and listing finished products on a built-in marketplace. LIMBAHKU simplifies the entire recycling process into a flow anyone can follow, with no technical expertise required. The platform offers a dual impact: generating additional income for communities, reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills, and fostering a collective mindset shift that views waste as a resource rather than a burden. LIMBAHKU also aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to poverty alleviation, economic growth, sustainable cities, and responsible consumption and production.
