About the Project
Traditional methods of managing zakat and social aid often rely on static databases, which limit the ability to visualize the geographical distribution of recipients and coordinate targeted interventions. This project introduces the conceptual idea of the Interactive Asnaf Mapping System (IAMS), a proposed web-based geospatial dashboard designed for the state of Perlis. The objective of this conceptual IAMS is to illustrate a real-time, interactive visualization platform that maps the socio-economic profiles of asnaf households. Notably, this functional prototype was developed as a proof-of-concept using Google Gemini and operates entirely on dummy data to demonstrate the system's working mechanics and important features. Using HTML5, Leaflet.js, and Chart.js, the simulated system features dynamic demographic filtering, multi-aid tracking, and specific proposed integrations for on-ground programs like Kayuhan MAIPs Peduli. The conceptual findings indicate that such a system could significantly improve upon current spreadsheet-based methods by instantly identifying poverty concentration zones. In conclusion, while currently an untested idea awaiting presentation to stakeholders, IAMS offers a highly promising, data-driven approach to social intervention planning.
