About the Project

GenLab VR is a dual-core Generative AI-powered virtual reality (VR) laboratory application engineered for K-12 STEM Education across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Traditional educational VR software remains severely hindered by rigid step-by-step scripts, zero room for trial-and-error, complex content update pipelines, and rapid software obsolescence following district acquisition. To solve these critical limitations, GenLab VR aims to transform static digital instruction manuals into an open-ended scientific exploration ecosystem that seamlessly balances curriculum-aligned skill acquisition with unscripted experimental hypothesis testing. The platform utilizes a hybrid architectural pipeline comprising a student-facing Generative Sandbox and a teacher-facing Natural Language No-Code Creator Studio. Driven by domain-tuned physics and chemistry Large Language Models (LLMs) integrated with real-time rendering engines, the student module operates a dual-track framework: Exam Mode for standardized scoring, and Sandbox Mode for unscripted reagent mixing, dynamic hazard simulations, and safe-failure AI tutoring interventions. Concurrently, the teacher studio employs prompt-to-3D natural language processing, enabling educators to auto-configure interactive 3D laboratory setups and bind physical equations within minutes without requiring prior coding or 3D modeling expertise. The core novelty of GenLab VR lies in its dynamic, non-scripted reaction engine paired with prompt-driven courseware authoring, replacing static pre-rendered sequences with responsive physical phenomena and metacognitive learning loops. Highly applicable across primary, secondary, and district-wide remote learning environments, the innovation carries high commercial value by drastically reducing content re-development costs and extending software lifecycle longevity. Its strategic impact fosters authentic scientific inquiry through risk-free experimental failure while transforming educators into active digital co-creators. Primary commercialization features include a scalable "Ed-Mod Community" ecosystem for cross-school asset sharing, modular secondary authoring pipelines, and optimized deployment protocols for standalone VR headsets.
