About the Project
The promise of digitalisation in schools was less paperwork. What a lot of teachers actually got was the same paperwork, twice or maybe more, once in their own records and again in whatever official system is supposed to receive it. The tools exist, they just don't talk to each other. Ez-RPH was built to deal with that specific problem rather than add another app to the pile. It's a digital workflow ecosystem for Malaysian teachers, currently running six modules in production which are AI-assisted daily lesson planning (RPH), a timetable module, classroom-based assessment (PBD) and exam score recording, facial-recognition attendance as well as Auto-PBD. All of these modules are integrated in one ecosystem and available on web, Android and iOS. Instead of trying to be a better lesson-plan generator, it follows a five-step model: record, organise, reuse, automate, verify. Auto-PBD is the module that carries most of the weight. The teacher still decides the mastery level (Tahap Penguasaan, TP) for each student and that part never changes. What Auto-PBD takes off her plate is everything around that decision which are the remarks, intervention and effort level entries (ulasan, intervensi, tahap usaha) are pulled automatically from records she's already entered, shown to her for a quick check as well as she submits the final result in idMe (Identity Management System) herself. There are two pieces of evidence behind this, not just a claim. First, in a recorded demonstration, Auto-PBD completed records for a class of at least 30 students within 30 seconds. Second, five workshops with real teachers (n=100) rated the system between 4.28 and 4.60 out of 5 across ease of use, usefulness, time management, intention to use and recommendation, with agreement running 84% to 95%. In addition, Ez-RPH has successfully obtained copyright registration with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) with the official copyright certificate duly issued. What Ez-RPH is ultimately trying to do is narrow which is stop teachers from entering the same information twice. If that works, the time saved doesn't disappear as it goes back into actual teaching, which is where it was supposed to be in the first place.
