About the Project
EventAccess: Inclusive Event Navigation and Accessibility Management System EventAccess is a proposed web-based system designed to improve accessibility and inclusivity at events. Attendees can scan a QR code to open the EventAccess platform on their mobile devices, view an interactive venue map, and identify accessible routes and facilities such as ramps, lifts, and accessible toilets. If they encounter an accessibility problem, such as a blocked route or unavailable facility, they can submit a report through the system by providing relevant details and, where appropriate, supporting information. Event organisers can then access these reports through an organiser dashboard, review the issues raised, assign appropriate follow-up actions, and update each report’s status as it is investigated or resolved. By connecting attendee feedback with organiser monitoring and follow-up, EventAccess aims to support more responsive accessibility management and provide a safer, more inclusive event experience. The proposed system will be demonstrated through a prototype to illustrate its key functions and potential application in real event settings.
