About the Project
The Blood Donation Game is an innovative game-based learning tool that transforms abstract probability concepts into an interactive, experiential, and real-world learning experience. Students simulate blood donation matching between donors and recipients, make decisions, observe random outcomes, and calculate experimental probability. The novelty lies in transforming the original physical card-based game into an interactive digital spinning-wheel game while retaining its learning objectives and randomisation element. Student feedback demonstrated positive learning outcomes, with 100% rating the game as enjoyable or very enjoyable, 95.3% reporting better understanding of probability, and 93.7% feeling more motivated to learn probability. This innovation promotes active learning, digital engagement, and meaningful application of probability concepts.
