About the Project

This project develops affordable assistive technologies to address everyday safety and convenience challenges. A Smart Navigation Stick uses an ultrasonic sensor and buzzer to detect nearby obstacles and alert visually impaired users. An Automated Weather-Responsive Drying System uses a rain sensor and servo motor to move clothes to a sheltered position when rain is detected. Both systems are controlled using Micro:bit. The originality lies in applying simple, low-cost automation to practical real-life problems. The project promotes inclusive innovation and supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
